President Trump ripped into Fake News CNN’s Jim Acosta today at a press conference in India and told the so-called “journalist” he should be “ashamed” of himself.
The heated exchange occurred when Acosta smugly asked President Trump if he would “pledge to the American people that [he] will not accept any foreign assistance in the upcoming election.”
“First of all, I want no help from any country, and I haven’t been given help from any country,” Trump responded.

The President then referenced a report about Russian interference in which many outlets, including CNN, were forced to backtrack their reporting. It claimed Congress “overstated” the assessment of 2020 Russian interference in the presidential election.
“If you see what CNN, your wonderful network said, I guess they apologized in a way. Didn’t they apologize for the fact that they said certain things that weren’t true? Tell me, what was their apology yesterday? What did they say?”
Acosta then insulted President Trump, and said, “Mr. President, I think our record on delivering the truth is a lot better than yours sometimes.”
Trump fired back, “Your record is so bad that you ought to be ashamed of yourself. You have probably the worst record in the history of broadcasting.”
