Antifa Is Raising Bail Money For Arrests During Straight Pride Counter Protest…That Hasn’t Happened Yet
They are clearly looking for violence
(Big League Politics) – To prepare for an upcoming Straight Pride Parade in Boston, Antifa-affiliated groups are already raising money to bail those who commit violence out of jail.
The fundraiser, posted on the website FundRazr, is titled “Solidarity Against Hate Legal Defense Fund” is being operated by “Solidarity Against Hate- Boston,” who describe themselves as Antifa. As of writing this article, the fund has raised $1,710 of their $2,500 goal.
In the description of the fundraiser, they state:
“Known fascists and white supremacists, under the front organization Super Happy Fun America, are descending on Boston for “Straight Pride” on Saturday, 8/31. As we have for the last 3 years, Boston will repel them with beautiful and bold direct action! In preparation for possible unplanned arrests, we are raising $2500 to cover any legal fees, as well as supplies for jail support (rides home, food, changes of clothes, etc).”
Of course, their description of the event is an outright lie. The group organizing the event, Super Happy Fun America, specifically denounce white supremacy and fascism. In their description of the event, they state that anybody affiliated with Antifa, or any other hate group are not welcome, stating that “they are not happy and fun.”
Among the speakers at the event are right-wing superstar Milo Yiannopoulos and voluntarist YouTube personality Adam Kokesh. Considering that Yiannopoulos is openly gay, and married to a black man, it is difficult to claim that the event is anti-gay or “white supremacist” as the left is trying to do.
Despite this, there is expected to be intense opposition. And as the bail fund shows, that opposition seems to be ready to engage in violence to get their way.
The likelihood of things getting ugly was increased following news that the Boston Police Department have involved event organizers that they will not prevent protesters from blocking their designated parade route.
The @bostonpolice and their @FBI liaison told us yesterday that if Antifa or any militant LGBT groups block our parade they will let them. Then they will let the clock run out on our permit so our speakers can't speak on the stage we paid thousands for.
66 people are talking about this
One must only imagine the outrage that would occur if the police said the same thing about a gay pride parade.
In the past, left-wing groups in Boston have been able to muster massive crowds to oppose conservative-leaning events. In 2017, they billed a free speech event as white supremacist and neo-Nazi, resulting in 40,000 protesters surrounding the small gathering.
Video from inside the event shows that the so-called “white supremacist” rally was nothing more than a handful of people of all races and walks of life discussing a range of issues. Some were holding signs stating that “Black Lives Do Matter,” while others anti-GMO signs. There was not a sniff of racism at the event itself, despite the massive crowd screaming otherwise.
This event may end up being similar. But at the end of the day it is nothing more than a celebration of being straight, with no animosity against anyone else of another sexual orientation.
