2A Betrayal: Walmart Makes Customers Sitting Ducks For Mass Shooters, Disarming Would-Be Heroes With Drastic New Policy
The corporate giant has turned its back on gun rights.
(Big League Politics) – Walmart has announced today that it will be banning all handgun ammunition sales in its stores, banning open carry, and is imploring all their customers not to carry weapons on their premises, as the corporate giant escalates their attack on gun rights.

“We have a long heritage as a company of serving responsible hunters and sportsmen and women, and we’re going to continue doing so,” said Walmart’s CEO Doug McMillon in a memo released to employees Tuesday afternoon.
However, in actuality, that is nothing but double talk, and their announcement is a major capitulation to gun grabbers. They are banning the sale of all short-barrel and handgun ammo, including 5.56 and .223 caliber ammo. Users of the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15, will have to go elsewhere to buy their rounds from now on.
“In a complex situation lacking a simple solution, we are trying to take constructive steps to reduce the risk that events like these will happen again,” McMillon wrote in his memo. “The status quo is unacceptable.”
In addition, the store is telling its customers not to carry inside the store, even if they are lawfully permitted to do so unless they are law enforcement personnel. Despite these restrictive infringements, McMillon claims Walmart will continue treating “law-abiding customers with respect” as workers will adopt a “non-confrontational approach.”
This ban is coming despite the fact that an armed citizen prevent a mass shooting from happening inside a Walmart just last year, saving countless lives in the process.
Walmart has previously shown hostility against the 2nd Amendment, indicating their support of gun control on several different occasions. They stopped selling AR-style rifles back in 2015, and are now supporting a nationwide ban on so-called assault rifles and stronger background checks to be enacted at the federal level.
“In the national conversation around gun safety, we’re encouraged that broad support is emerging to strengthen background checks and to remove weapons from those who have been determined to pose an imminent danger,” McMillon said after the El Paso, TX mass shooting inside a Walmart last month.
“The reauthorization of the assault weapons ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness in keeping weapons made for war out of the hands of mass murderers,” he added.
McMillon has been laying the groundwork for these new company-wide policies for weeks now, as Walmart is the latest large corporate retailer to stab gun rights proponents and advocates for the constitution in the back.
“We will strive to use these experiences to identify additional actions we can take to strengthen our processes, improve our technology and create an even safer environment in our stores,” McMillon said.
“We’re also thinking through the broader issues related to gun violence and things we should do to help create safer communities,” he added.
The free market, which has become a deity of sorts to many conservatives and libertarians, is yet again failing to protect Americans’ rights. Despite widespread market demand for guns and ammo, more corporate entities are turning against the 2nd Amendment, and giving huge public relations’ victories to gun-grabbing leftists.
