(Biz Pac Review) – Bill O’Reilly may want to pay heed to the axiom that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
In a matter of 24 hours, the Fox News host managed to annoy two highly influential woman — Megyn Kelly and Sarah Palin.
First, there was the very awkward segment on Monday’s show with colleague Megyn Kelly, where O’Reilly chided Kelly over a glowing New York Times Magazine profile of her, calling it a “puff piece.”
“They don’t like anybody else on the Fox News Channel, but they like her!” O’Reilly exclaimed, trying to be funny. Some will argue that his effort fell short of its goal.
Then, in a promo to Tuesday’s show, O’Reilly teased that the inclusion of Sarah Palin and Donald Trump threatened to turn the 2016 GOP presidential race into a “reality show.”
Palin has appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor” a number of times, but it’s clear little bonding took place, and the former Alaska governor took note of O’Reilly’s backhanded remark earlier in the day during a Tuesday night appearance on “Hannity.”
She was talking about unity among conservatives being needed to defeat likely Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, when she said the media will be a strike against conservative candidates.
“Even there, on Fox, a kind of a quasi, or assumed conservative outlet, and we have all day listening to the tease of Bill O’Reilly,” she said, calling O’Reilly to task for yukking it up about the Republican primary being a reality show should she enter the race.
“The left doesn’t do that, they take this serious because this is war,” Palin said. ““Hopefully the media, even the quasi-right side of the media, won’t be looking at this as some kind of reality show.”
Suffice it to say, it may be a while before Palin appears again on “The O’Reilly Factor.”
