‘The US Will Let Iran Spread Terror and Go Nuclear’

MARCH 30, 2015 5:14 AM
Senior security source estimates deal by tomorrow, with America ‘ignoring’ Iranian terror sponsorship and nuclear proliferation.
(Arutz Sheva) –  As reports continue to indicate a deal will be reached between the US and world powers on one side, and Iran on the other, regarding the Islamic regime’s nuclear program, and just a day or so before the deadline set for a provisional deal passes on Tuesday, a senior Israeli security source appraised that Iran will get a free pass to go nuclear and keep spreading terrorism.
Speaking to Walla! on Sunday, the source said, “even while according to the deal the dimensions of the nuclear project won’t be disclosed, we appraise that under pressure America will approve the (UN) Security Council’s removal of sanctions, including oil trade and contacts between Iranian and Western companies. In practice, the United States will remove them from isolation.”
“We also know that the United States will ignore the topic of Iran’s (nuclear) development proliferation and distribution of weapons, and its involvement in terrorism in the Middle East,” he assessed. “This deal won’t prevent Iran from spreading terror and becoming a nuclear state.”
Iran has, directly or by proxy, begun exerting a wide influence in the Middle East, via the Shi’ite Houthi militia in Yemen, the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon, Shi’ite militias in Iraq, and Iranian troops along with Hezbollah in Syria. It has been named the leading state sponsor of terrorism, and has also been a top backer of Hamas.
The source estimated that by the Tuesday deadline a deal will be reached on the Islamic regime’s nuclear program.
“It’s impossible to prevent the deal by the American administration,” he stated. On the other hand, he expressed hope, saying “we estimate that the (US) Congress will raise difficulties in its path.”
His appraisal of the position of US President Barack Obama’s administration confirms the revelations by a media aide of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who defected this week while in Switzerland’s Lausanne for talks.
The aide, Amir Hossein Mottaghi, said “the US negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the 5+1 countries and convince them of a deal.”
Turning his attention to Yemen, where Saudi Arab last Thursday launched an airstrike campaign with other Arab states against the Iranian-backed Houthis, the source said “the Sunni-Arab coalition that unified against the Houthis in Yemen is tragic.”
“Why? Because the United States’s partners are struggling against Iran at the same time that it (the US) is holding talks with them to reach a deal,” he noted.
Israeli security and political sources told the paper that Israel is currently preparing for the “day after” the deal, when its efforts will focus on showing how Iran is breaching the agreements.
Israel has pointed out that there are 17 states with peaceful nuclear programs in the world, none of which enrich uranium as Iran is demanding it be allowed to continue doing. The Islamic regime has frequently threatened Israel with annihilation.
