Hollywood Blames GOP For Midland-Odessa Shooting: ‘Time To Take These Sh*ts To Task For Murder’

(Breitbart) – Hollywood celebrities reacted to the shootings in Odessa, Texas, with calls for gun control and a denunciation of Congressional Republicans long before details on the firearm or means of firearm acquisition were known.

For example, Saturday night Bette Midler fired off an all-caps screed: “5 dead in Texas, 31 injured…#GOP HEARTS #NRA FOR YEARS GUN DOLLARS PAVED THEIR WAY. LOBBYISTS ALWAYS BUY THEM SOMETHING THOUSANDS DEAD TO THEM MEAN NOTHING COMMON SENSE IS ALL WE ASK FOR TIME TO TAKE THESE SHITS TO TASK FOR:#MURDER.”

At the time of her tweet there were zero details on type of gun, caliber of gun, acquisition of gun, motive, etc.

Breitbart news reported:

Report that eight people were killed and nearly 20 were injured in a shooting that began after a traffic stop on Saturday afternoon. Three officers are said to be among the wounded. Police shot and killed the suspect. The eighth person died Sunday morning in Midland, Texas.

On Sunday morning Midler followed up with another tweet, directed toward the NRA:

Midler’s second tweet also came at time when details about the gun and acquisition of it were still unreported.

Other left-wing Hollywood figures used their social media platforms to push for gun control just as Midler had done.

Rob Reiner went after the NRA, tweeting “Guns don’t kill people. Politicians in bed with the NRA kill people.”

Country singer Kacey Musgraves wrote “I love you, TX. I can’t believe we all are being forced to live in a constant state of fear. 2nd mass shooting in my home state in a month? Makes me sick to my stomach. When will we live in a world where human lives mean more than money?”

Actor Josh Gad said “Another week…another gun massacre… Another week…another gun massacre…”

The above-listed tweets were posted prior to any specific details being released on the firearm used, the acquisition or caliber of that firearm, or the motive of the attacker.

What is known is the attacker shot innocents — including police officers — while sitting inside a vehicle, and that position gave him the upper hand until he was gunned down.

Sweden: Municipality Inundated With Migrants Faces Tax Crisis As Native Swedes Flee

(Breitbart) – A Swedish municipality that took in one of the highest numbers of asylum seekers per population faces a crisis as natives move out and decimate the local tax base.

The municipality of Filipstad took in many asylum seekers during the migrant crisis of 2015 and now are facing increasing costs as unemployment among migrants has surged and financial assistance rates have tripled, broadcaster SVT reports.

Claes Hultgren, the local municipal manager, described the situation, saying of the migrant population: “In this group, unemployment and dependency are very high, while education levels are very low. This group runs the risk of ending in an eternal alienation that is already heavily burdening the municipal economy.”

“They are too old maybe and are illiterate, or have a very low educational level. We must then accept that there will be some people who will need the support of society for their livelihood,” Hultgren added.

Adding to the burden has been the exodus of native Swedes, with hundreds of natives leaving between 2012 and 2018 and an even higher number of foreigners arriving during the same period. Statistics show the vast majority of natives who left were of working age.

While job vacancies still do exist in the municipality, the jobs require skills in language and training that few of the migrants possess.

According to another report from SVT, the city of Gothenberg is undergoing a similar problem, with working-age native Swedes moving out of the city to nearby municipalities, often to buy a home, and taking their tax money with them.

While many cities across Sweden are facing housing shortages, the rate of unemployment between native Swedes and migrants is stark.

A 2018 report stated that the unemployment rate for native Swedes was a mere 3.6 per cent while the foreign-born rate was much higher at 19.9 per cent. The city of Malmo, which has a high migration-background population, was shown to have double the national unemployment average.

Charges Against 15 Antifa Thugs

District Attorney’s Office Pursues Riot Charges Against 15 Antifa Thugs In Portland

(Gateway Pundit) – Formal indictments have been handed down on numerous antifa affiliated thugs stemming from the August 17 protest in Portland.

Someone in the Multnomah County district attorney’s office has actually decided to do their job and is pursuing charges against 15 of the far left thugs, much of which seems to be centered around the attack on two buses carrying right wing ralliers that came under attack of hammers, rocks, concrete blocks, pepper spray, fists, and kicks from antifa as they were leaving the protest.

KOIN 6 reports:

Five men have been indicted on felony riot charges and police arrested 2 more people — all related to the August 17 Portland protests.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said Friday that 5 people between the ages of 21 and 51 face felony riot charges, as well as various other charges.

Their names are Alexander Dial, Zachary Lange, Richard Klimek, Evan Duke and Antonio Zamora.

Zamora, 33, was arrested on Tuesday on a riot charge, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, according to officials. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.

Zamora’s charges are related to an incident on Southwest Naito Parkway near the Morrison Bridge in which a group was caught on camera, chasing after a bus full of right-wing protesters and smashing several of its windows.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Hannah M. Ahern on Wednesday. She was cited on a warrant issued against her by PPB investigators in Tigard.

Alexander Dial’s second mugshot. Dial was wearing the “Beta Cuck 4 Lyfe” shirt, and is seen on video throwing a hammer at someone associated with the American Guard. Sources tell the Gateway Pundit that the man hit by the hammer is Asian and suffered broken ribs.

Interestingly, the booking page for Dial shows two separate cases involving similar charges of Riot, Unlawful Use Of A Weapon, Assault, Unlawful Use Of Tear Gas, and Criminal Mischief, so maybe the DA’s are charging him from a different incident as well. Even just one case has bonds of $260,000.

Zamora can be seen here in the turquoise blue shirt throwing objects at one of the buses. According to court records, Zamora was bailed out on $900 and is due back on September 11th for a return on the indictments.

The Oregonian adds:

Antonio S. Zamora, 33, was arrested Tuesday at his home and released from jail on bail the same day. He was indicted Thursday in Multnomah County Circuit Court on charges of riot and attempted second-degree criminal mischief.

Zamora’s shirt and rainbow-colored ski mask seen on social media videos of the clash between right-wing affiliates and counterprotesters were used by investigators to help identify him, according to a probable cause affidavit. A Portland police officer also recognized Zamora’s face in other footage.

Police using a search warrant also found the teal shirt and mask in Zamora’s home, the affidavit said.

Zamora is one of 16 people who have been either arrested or cited in connection with the August downtown demonstrations that involved an estimated 1,200 people at its peak. The rally was held by Proud Boys members in protest of anti-fascist activists, which drew counterprotesters in opposition to the right-wing group’s presence in the city and more than 700 police officers from throughout the state to keep the peace between the two factions.

At some point during the demonstrations, two buses carrying right-wing affiliates were blocked on the Morrison Bridge by counterprotesters. A scuffle soon broke out between people on a small black bus and others outside of it. Videos show someone on the black bus swinging at people outside the bus with a hammer, the hammer being snatched away and a moment later being thrown back into the vehicle.

Friday, Alexander Gorman Dial was arraigned on allegations that he threw the hammer at someone on the bus.

Dial, 37, had originally been charged with attempted second-degree assault and other crimes. But this week a grand jury indicted him on more crimes, including second-degree assault. Because of that more serious charge, he was lodged into jail Friday, with bail set at $260,000.

Zamora and at least one other person are seen in videos kicking the black bus. Zamora is also accused of hitting the back window of the second bus as both vehicles were driving off the bridge onto Southwest Naito Parkway.

Authorities announced Friday that two other people face charges in connection with the protests.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office said Evan Duke, 48, was indicted on charges of attempted third-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief.

Portland police also announced that officers cited Hannah M. Ahern, 24, Wednesday on suspicion of second-degree disorderly conduct related to the Aug. 17 protests. She is accused of participating in an altercation that occurred near Southwest Oak Street and Third Avenue.
