Argentine President Mauricio Macri has ordered the declassification of all files related to last year’s death of prosecutor Alberto Nisman.
The order came Friday on the eve of the anniversary of the prosecutor’s unsolved death.
Macri instructed a number of government agencies to declassify the documents and send them to Judge Fabiana Palmaghini within 30 days. The judge is overseeing the investigation into whether Nisman committed suicide or was murdered.
Nisman was found dead on Jan. 18, 2015 in the bathroom of his Buenos Aires apartment with a bullet in his head.
The prosecutor investigated a 1994 bombing at a Jewish community center that killed 85 people. He had claimed then-President Cristina Fernandez was trying to protect the Iranians allegedly involved in the attack.
