Veterans Band Together And Make Massive Move to Take Hillary Down

Veterans Band Together And Make Massive Move to Take Hillary Down

(Conservative Tribune) – A veterans’ group that has previously sued the State Department over releasing Hillary Clinton’s email has now officially asked Attorney General Loretta Lynch to take action against the Democrat candidate for taking classification markers off a document so that it could be sent through unencrypted servers, the Daily Callerreported.
Veterans for a Strong America Director Joel Arends wrote in the letter that a July 17, 2011, email between Clinton and adviser Jake Sullivan ordered Sullivan to strip the talking points document of “identifying heading and send nonsecure,” as opposed to the proper protocol with classified material, which would be to send through secure fax.
Potentially adding to Clinton’s considerable legal troubles with her private email system as secretary of state, Arends noted that 18 USC 793 states that it is a crime to “cause to be communicated, delivered or transmitted [classified information] to any person not entitled to receive” it.
Gross negligence — the knowledge that classified material was illegally removed from its “proper place of custody” and failing “to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction” — is also illegal under the statute, Arends noted.

“It appears that the information contained in the emails referenced herein was classified, that the classified information was illegally transmitted, and that the Secretary ordered said classified information be stripped of its classification markers and transmitted through unencrypted channels,” Arends said in the letter.
Clinton’s embattled campaign continues to deny the charges, something that seems increasingly ridiculous in the face of the evidence.
“It is false that Hillary Clinton asked for classified material to be sent over a nonsecure system,” Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said.
However, “Being a 21-year military veteran and a current holding of a U.S. security clearance,” Arends pointed out that he is “aware that incidences of improper disclosure of classified information demand swift and sure action.”
Lynch seems unlikely to take up the case. However, these veterans seem determined, and we wouldn’t count them out just yet. Look out, Hillary: as John Kerry found out over the swift boat issue, veterans are not the kind of people you can screw around with.
