Michael Bloomberg On Texas Church Shooting: Congregants Should Not Be Armed
(Breitbart) – Democrat presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg asserts that law enforcement should be armed, not church congregants.
The former New York City mayor’s assertion came after acknowledging that a church congregant in White Settlement, Texas, shot and killed an attacker on December 29, 2019.
President Trump reacted to the takedown of the gunman by praising armed “heroes” for saving an untold number of lives. Bloomberg reacted by stressing that being armed is a job for law enforcement, not church congregants:
After seeing video of the Texas Church shooting, Michael Bloomberg thinks civilians had no business carrying guns.
They should have called the police.

Breitbart News reported that Jack Wilson was one of many who were armed when the attacker rose up and began shooting. Wilson’s quick actions took out the attacker within seconds:
Texas Department of Safety Director Joeff Williams applauded the armed congregants for their resolve in quickly ending the attack. ABC News quoted him saying, “The citizens who were inside that church undoubtedly saved 242 other parishioners. That might get swept aside in this whole conversation about active shooter response, and God knows law enforcement has done a whole bunch of work to make our response better.”
