Just In: Iranian Activist Tells Why The People of Iran ARE NOT Mourning General Soleimani’s Death
Jan 3, 2020
It took an Iranian journalist and activist to set the record straight on the true reaction from Iranians after the targeted death of an Iranian General overnight by the US military.
Masih Alinejad told Sandra Smith on “America’s Newsroom” that the truth is the Iranian people aren’t mourning the death of General Soleimani.
“So, all you see in Iranian state television…state media is like…showing some people took to the street mourning and showing their sympathy towards Qassem Soleimani. But, the fact is this…many Iranians do not see him as a hero and if you go to social media, that they are very happy.
Then Alinejad answered the important question of why the people aren’t mourning the general:
“Why? Because they have been witnessing how the Revolutionary Guard killed people in the streets across Iran.”
