India: 20-year-old Muslim and 3 friends rape and murder 10-year-old mentally-challenged sister

  • On 17th May, the principal accused, Zeeshan Ali, convinced his younger sister to accompany him to a nearby deserted hilly region.
  • Zeeshan Ali invited his friends Amjad Ali, Shajid Ali and Wajid Ali to rape his mentally-challenged sister.
  • They strangled her to death, disposed of the dead body into a sewer, and hid the clothes in trees.
  • The family tried to mislead police in the investigation.
With child abuse and pedophilia emerging as among the most harrowing challenges the modern world is faced with, it’s instinctive for one to trust one’s little ones with a family member or an extremely close friend or family friend. Can you find any relative or friend more trustworthy than one’s own brother or parents? Imagine the depravity in one’s mentality and decay in one’s soul that leads one to gang-rape one’s own minor, mentally challenged sister!
A shocking incident was revealed to policemen in Rajasthan, India who were investigating a missing case of a 10-year-old specially-abled child. According to the Rural Superintendent of Police, Shankardutt Sharma, an FIR about the missing child was lodged by her father on May 18 at Manoharpur Police Station, Jaipur (Rajasthan, India). The mentally challenged child had suddenly disappeared from home on the evening of 17th May, despite the country being in a state of lockdown. The police registered the case and launched a search operation for the missing girl in the vicinity.
After a hunt of 3 days, on May 21st, her dead body was recovered in damaged condition from the forest areas of Kumbhavas, Manoharpur. The body was then sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory . An autopsy was performed at Nims Hospital, Chandwaji and determined that the child was raped before being murdered.
Further investigations revealed that the minor was not kidnapped by anyone but her own brother, Zeeshan Ali, who talked her out of the house and led her to a nearby deserted hilly area. Police arrested the 20-year-old Zeeshan as the main accused, along with his three friends, Amjad Ali (19), Shajid Ali (19), and Wajid Ali (20) on Saturday.
It is alleged that Ali invited his friends to the secluded area, and the four then took turns raping the 10-year-old, who could neither speak nor do routine tasks on her own. They then strangled the child to death, removed her clothes and footwear, hid them on the acacia trees around the area, and dumped the body into a nearby rivulet flowing through the hilly forest.
For three days, hundreds of policemen were deployed to find the child. The family didn’t provide any straight answers when interrogated by the cops, but kept contradicting themselves with incoherent responses. This made the police suspicious of them, and they started hunting through the forest area, speculating that the family could have killed and buried the child there. Following a detailed investigation, police zeroed in on the elder brother and his friends, but not before Zeeshan Ali and others had tried to deceive the police investigating the case by pretending to assist them in their search for their “missing” sister.
They, however, couldn’t fool around for long, as CCTV footage and mobile call details quickly exposed them. Sharma stated that the family of limited means was struggling with the mental condition of the 10-year-old girl. “The girl’s brother and his three friends took her to the secluded area probably to kill her, but they used the opportunity to rape her. All four accused raped her, following which she was strangled to death. The accused even purchased new clothes for the child the day she was kidnapped,” he added.
Originally from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, the family had moved to Rajasthan in search of livelihood. They settled in Todi village, of Manoharpur, Jaipur, and were working in brick kilns. As per Range Inspector General S. Sengathir, all the 4 accused in the gang rape and murder case have been detained.
