(TeaParty.org) – Steve Eichler, CEO of the Tea Party/TeaParty.org, applauded the bold action of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) as he announced his presidential campaign early Monday morning.
“I was delighted to hear the good news. Sen. Ted Cruz is a strong patriot and dedicated freedom fighter who gained his seat through the efforts of the Tea Party. He has announced his intentions to seek the office of the President of the United States and will expand on his announcement with greater details in his speech at Liberty University’s convocation. I am so excited that America may finally have a chance to recover from the socialist plague that has infected Washington. To add to the excitement, Liberty University is my alma mater and I was a founding student of that great institution. Can it get any better than that?”
It appears all the Tea Parties and patriot organizations are gearing up for a grand and noble battle to save freedom and liberty, starting now and concluding in victory in 2016.
Like the shot heard round the world in Lexington and Concorde, Sen. Ted Cruz has not only announced first his intentions to run for President, but has set the stage for brisk debates on national security, the social welfare state and the over taxation of US citizens.
“The political battle for the survival of America has begun, and Ted Cruz has fired the first shot,” said Mr. Eichler.
