Suspicious of the White House? You Should be, Says Gohmert

MAY 28, 2015 1:57 PM
A Republican member of the House of Representatives says the Obama White House is more interested in attacking whistleblowers than in going after real criminals.
(One News Now) – Congressman Louis Gohmert (R-Texas) is sharply criticizing the Justice Department, saying it’s more likely “they will come after you” than after those he describes as “the potential radicalized murderers or the terrorists being let into the country.”
“This administration has prosecuted more people alleging that they leak information than all of the other prior administrations in our history put together,” he said Thursday on American Family Radio. “That’s the tool they use to silence people who see damage being done by this administration.”
Earlier this month – in response to concerns from constituents about military exercises scheduled to take place later this summer in Texas – the congressman expressed similar misgivings about the Obama administration.
“We have seen people working in this administration use their government positions to persecute people with conservative beliefs in God, country, and notions such as honor and self-reliance,” he stated on May 5.
“Because of the contempt and antipathy for the true patriots or even Christian saints persecuted for their Christian beliefs, it is no surprise that those who have experienced or noticed such persecution are legitimately suspicious [of Jade Helm 15].”
Gohmert is vice chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. He appeared Thursday morning on AFR’s “Sandy Rios in the Morning” program.
