Young conservative CJ Pearson slams Hillary Clinton in Memorial Day video

On Monday, CJ Pearson, a young Georgia conservative who once declared he wanted "liberty, not Hillary," slammed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a video posted to YouTube. While heaping praise on those who serve, Pearson shredded Clinton for her now-infamous statement before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

"Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they'd go kill some Americans?" she said at the time. "What difference, at this point, does it make?! It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator."
This didn't sit too well with Pearson, who noted that two of those who died in the Benghazi attack were former Navy SEALSs he said were obeying orders. "And you have the guts to say to the American people, 'what difference does it make?'"
"I'll tell you what difference does it make," he said. "These people cared about this nation. They cared about liberty. They cared about freedom. They cared about you and I, and I cannot understand how you can fix your mouth to say, 'what difference does it make.'"
"It makes all of the difference," he added. "Their commitment will not go unseen," he said. "Their commitment will not be disrespected."
"And," he continued, "it is time we elected a president that understands that." He also said Americans should no longer tolerate the "blatant disrespect" of those who serve in uniform by those in power.
Pearson went on to say that words cannot fully describe how thankful he is of America's servicemen and women. One day, he added, "I hope to live up to their stature in this world." Pearson's three-minute video can be seen above.
His statement stands in stark contrast to a tweet issued over the Memorial Day weekend by the left-wing Salon calling the U.S. military the "biggest threat" to national security. The tweet linked to an article that claimed defense spending "may be crowding out other crucial investments." But as the Heritage Foundation noted, military spending in 2014 only amounted for just over 18 percent of the total budget, with nearly half going to Social Security and health care entitlements.
