Fighting its relentless war on Palestinian terrorism, IDF forces destroyed the homes of a Palestinian terrorist responsible for the murder of two Israelis.
Israeli police and IDF forces destroyed the home of Ibrahim Al-Akri, a Palestinian terrorist who murdered two Israelis and wounded several others in a vehicular attack in Jerusalem last November.
Acting in accordance with directives by Minister of Defense Moshe Ya’alon, hundreds of security personnel secured the demolition operation in the Palestinian neighborhood of Shuafat in Jerusalem on Wednesday, as the police stated that it would “operate with zero tolerance against anyone who attempts to disrupt society, and against anyone who attempts to harm security forces.”
No violent incidents were recorded during the destruction operation. Police uncovered an M-16 assault rifle and magazines during their searches.
Border Police Superintendent Jadan Assad and Shalom Aharon Ba’adani, 17, were murdered in the attack and another 13 Israelis were wounded.
Akari, a Hamas terrorist, was shot dead during the terror attack.
The demolition of terrorists’ homes is part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plans to contend with the recent wave of Palestinian terror attacks which has claimed the lives of 21 Israelis in the past two months and a-half-moths.
Demolition orders against several other terrorists’ homes are still being planned by the IDF.
Early Wednesday morning, IDF forces entered the Palestinian village of Doha, west of Bethlehem, to map out the home of the terrorist responsible for Tuesday’s attempted stabbing attack at Gush Etzion Junction prior to its demolition.
Similarly, IDF forces arrested 28 Palestinian terror suspects overnight Tuesday. In a statement, the IDF said that 13 of the captured terrorists are suspected of rioting, throwing rocks and firebombs at Israelis and assaulting security forces.
