The hyper-critical-of-the-West Pope traveled to a non-Western nation for the first time since his papacy began; he was greeted with boos and chants of “Allahu Akbar,” loosely translated to “Allah is the greater.”
“Allah is the greater” [than than your G-d]. We are forever being schooled and admonished by Muslims and their supremacist leaders that we must respect Islam. “Mutual respect” goes one way and “interfaith dialogue” goes one way — to Islam.
Here, a Pope who has submitted and advanced Islam at the expense of his flock gets a taste of what submission tastes like. Kindness is perceived as weakness. Accommodation, surrender.
Of course the media cut the audio when they reported on his visit and said there was “no sign of extremists.” These are the media’s “moderates.”
