On Sunday, the Israeli Security Cabinet announced that the IDF will be stepping up its response to the the ongoing incendiary kites and balloons from Gaza. These attacks have resulted in the destruction of thousands of acres of Israeli farmland and nature reserves.
Over the weekend, more than 100 rockets were fired by Hamas at civilian populations in southern Israel. Three Israelis were moderately wounded when a rocket hit their home in Sderot. Thousands of families in southern Israel have been ordered to remain in or in close proximity to bomb shelters as rockets and mortars from Gaza continue to hit Israel.
Now, more than three months after the incendiary kite and balloon attacks began, the IDF will be targeting the terrorists involved in these activities. Enough is enough. Israeli families and children should not be spending their summers living in fear in bomb shelters.
