(Gateway Pundit) – Republican Greg Murphy won North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District seat in Tuesday’s high stakes special election.
President Trump traveled to North Carolina this week and held a rally in Fayetteville to boost support for Republican candidates Greg Murphy and Dan Bishop.
Greg Murphy, a physician, defeated Democrat Allen Thomas and two others Tuesday evening to succeed the late GOP Rep. Walter Jones Jr.

With 80% of the precincts reporting, Murphy has received 60.7% of the vote for the win!
President Trump celebrated Tuesday night.
