Movement gone way beyond ‘tolerance,’ he says
(Fox News) – Bill O’Reilly told John Stossel tonight that he thinks gay Americans should be included with the protected class of citizens as part of the federal anti-discrimination law.
O’Reilly said that gay Americans deserve protections because they’re a small population, adding that homosexual children and teens are brutalized for their orientation.
“Gay Americans deserve carved out legal protections,” O’Reilly said.
But, Stossel countered back against O’Reilly, stating that he disagrees with him.
“You’ve already got the race, gender, religion, disability, age, all these specially protected groups,” Stossel said.
“There is a risk in certain areas of this country…the federal government has to get involved, it’s the same thing on the race issue,” O’Reilly quipped. “I’m going to demand and I think that those protections are needed.”
