Law Enforcement: Colorado Springs Shooting Suspect Said ‘No More Baby Parts’
(Breitbart) – A law enforcement official speaking on the condition of anonymity said Colorado Springs gunman Robert Lewis Dear explained his actions in part by saying, “No more baby parts.”
Dear opened fire in a Planned Parenthood (PP) clinic on Friday, killing two civilians and University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) police officer Garrett Swasey.
According to The Washington Post, the anonymous law enforcement official said Dear said “no more baby parts” but also “mentioned President Obama in a range of statements to investigators that left his precise motivation unclear.”
Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains president Vicki Cowart said there were “eyewitness accounts” showing Dear “was motivated by opposition to safe and legal abortion.” She said, “We’ve seen an alarming increase in hateful rhetoric and smear campaigns against abortion providers and patients over the last few months” and that such campaigns create an “environment [that] breeds acts of violence.”
Within “the last few months” Planned Parenthood got a lot of attention after the release of an undercover video in which Dr. Deborah Nucatola–Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood (PP)–discussed the way the company harvests baby body parts to sell for medical research. In the video, shot by Center for Medical Progress, Nucatola said, “A lot of people want intact hearts these days, because they are looking for specific nodes.” She said that someone recently “wanted lungs” and that there is “always” a demand for “as many intact livers as possible.”
She added: “Some people want lower extremities, too. I mean that’s easy. I don’t know what they’re doing with it, I guess they want muscle.”
Nucatola also went into great detail about how the abortionists use “ultrasound guidance” during an abortion to be sure they do not damage parts of the baby that are in highest demand.
Again, while this drew attention to Planned Parenthood over the summer and into early fall, the law enforcement official who pointed to Dear’s “no more baby parts” statement made clear that Dear said other things as well. NBC News reported it this way: “Sources stressed that Dear said many things to law enforcement and the extent to which the ‘baby parts’ remark played into any decision to target the Planned Parenthood office was not yet clear.”
