MENTALLY UNSTABLE…

Biden APOLOGIZES to Mexico for Trump Comments

The most heated rhetoric you’ve heard … is not who we are as the American people’
(Telesurtv) – U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday said he felt “almost obliged” to say sorry for verbal attacks on Mexico in the U.S. presidential campaign, in which Republican frontrunner Donald Trump has labeled Mexican migrants “rapists” and drug runners, and vowed to build a wall on the border with Mexico to stop immigrants from coming into the U.S.
“There’s been a lot of damaging and incredibly inaccurate rhetoric, and I would argue, I feel almost obliged to apologize for some of what my political colleagues have said … about Mexico, about the Mexican people,” said the Democratic Party vice president.
Speaking alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto during a visit to Mexico City, Biden never mentioned Trump, who nonetheless loomed large over the proceedings.

“I just want you to know, Mr. President, that the most heated rhetoric you’ve heard from some of the competitors for the nomination for president, is not who we are as the American people … It’s the exact opposite,” Biden added.
Without naming Trump, Pena Nieto also weighed in, saying “building walls is just isolating oneself.”
Biden was visiting the Mexican capital for economic talks accompanied by a delegation of U.S. officials who hope to scale up trade with the country.
The U.S. is Mexico’s largest trading partner, and Mexico is third for the U.S. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce. The meeting aimed to promote competitiveness and connectivity; foster economic growth, productivity, entrepreneurship, and innovation; and partner for regional and global leadership.
Biden’s Mexico visit comes a day after he also conducted meetings with leaders of Central American Northern Triangle countries, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras in Washington, D.C. to discuss a controversial multimillion-dollar security plan for the region.
