Jewish Summer Camp in Michigan Defaced with Nazi Graffiti

Swastika Jewish camp

Jewish children in Michigan were victims of an anti-Semitic hate crime this past weekend when the summer camp they attend was defaced with Nazi graffiti.
A Jewish summer camp in the Michigan area was targeted by anti-Semitic and Nazi graffiti, the Matzav.com news site reports. There were no physical assaults.
Swastikas were painted on exterior areas of Camp Agudah Midwest, located in South Haven, Michigan, on Saturday night. They were discovered Sunday morning.
Personnel at the camp told Matzav.com that upon noticing the graffiti, management contacted the police, who dispatched officers to investigate the vandalism and meet with the camp’s leadership.
The graffiti was completely cleaned up.
Camp Agudah Midwest is working with local law enforcement to identify the perpetrators of the hate crime. Police are reviewing video surveillance footage as well as other evidence gathered.
In addition to working with law enforcement officials, the camp will be adding security measures above and beyond its normal security protocol, the staff said in a letter to the campers’ parents. The camp hired a security guard to patrol the grounds throughout the night.
