ALERT: FBI Releases List of Most Dangerous States in U.S… Do You Live in One?
(Conservative Tribune) – Every year the FBI releases a list of the most dangerous states in which to live in America. This year’s list has been released, and it had quite a few surprises on it.
The Examiner reported that although violent crime overall has been decreasing in the U.S, there were still major urban areas, like Chicago, that had excessively high levels of crime that can impact a state’s “most dangerous” ranking.
Many of the states on this list have major urban areas that we all know are high sources of crime. For example, Baltimore, Maryland, has saw a spike in the number of homicides after the riots last year.
Here are the top 10 most dangerous states:
- Alaska
- Nevada
- Tennessee
- New Mexico
- Florida
- Louisiana
- South Carolina
- Delaware
- Arkansas
- Maryland
While Alaska may surprise some people, it has 635.8 violent crimes per 100,000 persons, more than any other state. Alaska has relatively few murders per year (41), but it has relatively high numbers of aggravated assaults and rapes.
This list could look a lot different if President Barack Obama would let police officers do their jobs and be tough on crime. As a result of Obama’s policies that are tough on police and soft on criminals, crime in certain sections of the country has soared.
The FBI also released its list of the 10 safest states in America:
- Vermont
- Maine
- Wyoming
- New Hampshire
- Virginia
- Kentucky
- Idaho
- Utah
- Rhode Island
- Minnesota
Vermont has 99.3 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, which is truly impressive. Vermont has a high number of gun owners, so according to liberal logic it should be one of the most dangerous.
Of course Vermont is also the state that gave us Sen. Bernie Sanders, so perhaps it is just a different type of dangerous.
