President Obama made his first official visit to a US mosque and praised Muslim Americans for their contributions to American society.
Obama claimed Muslims are some of the finest Americans and slammed alleged Islamophobia saying, “We’ve seen – too often – people conflating horrific acts of terrorism with an entire faith.”
The president also took a swipe at Republican front-runner Donald Trump saying that, “Recently, we’ve heard inexcusable political rhetoric that has no place in our country.”
