WALMART EMBRACES AN ABOMINATION

BY: JOE NEWBY

Walmart refuses to make cake with Confederate flag, makes one with ISIS flag

In a YouTube video posted Friday, Chuck Netzhammer says a Walmart in Slidell, Louisiana, refused to create a cake with a Confederate battle flag that included the phrase, "Heritage, not hate." The store refused to make the cake, he said. But, he added, the same store had no problem making a cake with the black ISIS flag.

"On 06/25/15 I attempted to get an Edible image cake printed with the confederate flag image on it at Walmart," he said in the video's description. "It was denied. The next day I had them do the same for the ISIS battle flag image I brought to them."
Netzhammer said the store bakery "cheerfully" made the cake and sold it to him. "ISIS is beheading Christians, selling little girls into slavery, and is currently a terrorist org at war with the United States," he said. But, he added, "you can't buy the General Lee toy car at Wallmart? It's a damn shame."
To prove his claim, Netzhammer showed the rejection notice he received from Walmart. At the top of the order form is printed, "Cannot do cake cuz of picture." He then showed the order form and the receipt for the ISIS cake.
"Walmart, can you please explain why you are alienating Southern Americans with this trash that you allow to be sold in your store while at the same point, Confederate flag memorabilia is not allowed?" he asked, holding the ISIS cake while standing next to his motorcycle. Walmart spokesman Brian Nick said the company doesn't want to "offend anyone" with the items it sells. But Netzhammer was clearly offended by the cake his local store made.
"I am highly offended, distraught, and in tears over the fact you pull American history off your shelves, but allow the offensive battle flag of terrorists, sex slavers, be-headers of Christians, burners of gays to be made in your store," he wrote in the comment section of the video. Moreover, he said, the store sells offensive rap music that glorifies cop killing, drive-by murder, drug use and prostitution, while using racial slurs.
"But you can't buy a beloved children's toy car with an Confederate flag on the roof?" he asked. Calling himself a "loyal customer, Netzhammer said he "sent this to Walmart's ethics department."
Walmart is one of several retailers that have banned sales of items that feature the battle flag in response to the shooting at a black church in Charleston, South Carolina. But as we reported Tuesday, shoppers can purchase posters from Walmart featuring Che Guevara, a Communist mass murderer who fought with Fidel Castro. The video, which can be seen above, has already been viewed over 50,000 times.
Update: Walmart has apologized for the incident. “Our local store made a mistake. The cake in the video should not have been made and we apologize," spokesman Randy Hargrove said.
