Arab League foreign ministers will convene next week in Cairo to discuss the recent Palestinian violence on the Temple Mount.
Foreign Ministers from the 15 Arab League members will meet in Cairo next week to discuss the latest events on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. The meeting was called by the Palestinian Authority (PA).
A spokesperson for PA head Mahmoud Abbas on Monday released a statement threatening that the “recent escalation in Israeli violations” could force the PA to make “serious decisions.”
The latest incident occurred when hundreds of Palestinians rioted on the Temple Mount on Sunday in an attempt to prevent Israelis from entering their holiest site.
The Arabs stockpiled rocks, fire bombs, firecrackers used as rockets, mosque furniture and other objects to throw at Israeli security forces from inside their mosques, where they barricaded themselves.
