New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind was interviewed just before he was arrested outside the office of Senator Schumer, demanding that Schumer take the lead in the fight to stop the Iran nuclear deal.
Hikind, and those with him, wanted to send Schumer a strong message about the Iran nuclear deal. They know that the deal is terrible and they want to ensure that Schumer will do the right thing and oppose it.
Schumer has been wavering on whether or not to support the nuclear deal. Due to his senior position, his vote will carry a lot of weight in enabling Congress to defeat the deal. Hikind and his fellow protesters were arrested for civil disobedience. Now it’s up to us to ensure their sacrifice was not in vain.
